Need to save some money! - and some reviews

Well, it's been a long few weeks of sales at Anthro. I'm especially glad the 25% sale is over. I really need to save money, and it's so easy to justify buying stuff when it's on super super sale! I'm glad nothing really caught my eye this week. I liked the Femme Fisherman Cardigan, but it was a bit scratchy, and I didn't love it enough to buy at $70. I still love the Karelia coat, but I can't justify it when it's nowhere near warm enough for an Illinois winter. And I have serious issue making myself pay over a hundred dollars for a sweater, so no Gathering Harvest /Best of the Bunch cardi for me either. Sniff. My wallet thanks me, anyways.

I did however buy a couple of small latte bowls and a $9.99 AG khaki in moss! They're super comfortable and if you're looking for some cheap pants now, it's a good time to get them at Anthro. (It's also apparently a good time to get an Exbury Gardens cardi, apparently. Last week, there were two or so sitting at my store. Walked in yesterday and there had to be 30+ on the racks. WTF?)

My iphone is all about the yellow shades. Apologies. I need to remember to bring my actual camera more often. :(

Everybody and their mother has reviewed this, and it's easy to see why. It's a bright happy dress that will lift your spirits up after nothing but pounds and pounds of gloomy ice and snow. Moulinette Souers sizing has confounded me lately (see Lucillae dress from the last post) so instead of my usual 2, I grabbed a 4. And ..... we're going back to a 2 next time. The 4 is big but I think the 2 will fit perfectly. I liked this dress a lot. It's a very light dress - I'm thinking summer moreso than spring. I think I'll bite if this goes on sale.

Refined Cord Shirtdress ($59.95)

Ah, what would we do without other bloggers? Richer. I wouldn't have bothered to look twice at this normally, but I saw pics of other bloggers in this dress and thought they looked cute in it. But I already owned the Reed Shirtdress, so I passed on a second version of this. Then it went on sale. And then everyone started squealing about buying one. Yay for peer pressure! So I tried this on. My MS Reed Shirtdress is a bit too big for me in a 6, but I didn't know what Fei sizes were like, so I just grabbed my default 4. It ended up fitting perfectly. But yowzers, everyone is right when they say the red fits differently from the other colors. (I tried on a grey as well, color didn't work for me.) The red sleeves are WAY tighter than the other colors. I liked it still and bought this.

I originally read this as the porn flower shift. Sigh. I didn't think much of it on the racks, but all the bloggers were in love with this, so I tried it on. I still don't think much of it. ;) I took my usual Tabitha 6. It's way too big, I'd have to size down to a 4. It's very well made. It went on easily, it's nicely lined and comfortable to wear. I think I look matronly, though. I feel like I'm 40. Pass.

I didn't think much of this dress either, but hey, if I'm already trying on some dresses, might as well grab some more. I think I took my usual Maeve 2 in this. It fits well, it was comfortable enough, and it's just not making any sort of imprint on me. I viewed this picture back and was like ... "oh, I guess I did try this on." Clearly a very striking hold this dress has on me. I'm not too in love with the Southwestern style print on this dress either.

If you're already trying on some dresses, might as well grab some more! I think I took a small in this. I think. I can't remember if I grabbed an xs or small. Whichever one it was, it was too big on me. Once again, we have another dress that really made a giant imprint on me, obviously. It's a very light silky dress - I wouldn't wear it until we got out of winter. It's nice enough, I suppose, but just nothing special.

Here's a nice heavy sweater jacket. I grabbed it to try on because I loved the warm pretty print on this. It's got a good heft to it and it would keep me nice and warm in winter. I remember this being not itchy. However, I thought the colors were just a little too light on me and I thought I looked a little washed out by this. I'll pass on this at the current price because of the light colors and the price. However, if it makes it to a second cut, I think I might get it.
